Glass shattered against the wall and showered the ground with a thousand hazards.
Slivers of what was once a bottle of sake glittered against the flickering candle light, torrents rain pattered against the window pane, clothes lay soaking in the cold on the floor- long ago forgotten- and screams made the air heavy with emotion.
Brilliant sea-green eyes speckled with shadows of ire, a mess of knotted pink hair, fanning out as Haruno Sakura spun back around.
Petite feet standing on the rug in the middle of the room, just out of reach of the shards that litter the ground.
Uchiha Sasuke was a tower of darkness, shadows cutting across his face, hiding from the yellowish glow of candle light. No sympathy on that face.
Not even a momentary flicker when, in her irate haste, she stepped just off of the mat and into the glass.
A hiss of pain was the only complaint from the pink haired girl, as her knees bent and she sat on the ground.
Fingernails spent moments digging out fine fragments of glass -Above her reddish eyes embellished with black peered at the thin beads of blood- before she stood with flames in her eyes.
There would be stains on the carpet from that day forward, as she didn’t waste the time healing the wounds.
“What are you afraid of!” She screeched, tone high above the low, solemn rain.
The sole heir of the Uchiha name didn’t grace her with a response. She didn’t want to hear it anyways.
Shooting forward towards him, hands raised; fists flying up and being brought down as she pounded them against his bare chest.
His eyes were hard and unresponsive now; An entire long drunken night later, as it was climbing into the early hours of morning.
“I wish you had never came back!” A shrill voice, and she couldn’t find the strength of character to regret them.
Maybe if she was Naruto she wouldn’t have said something like that; words intentionally meant to harm.
“I hate you!"
Sharingan eyes cut across her face; her fists were still poised on his chest, though they’d stopped their pounding.
His hands which dangled at his sides swooped up, one at the crook of her neck and shoulder, the other wrapped strong fingers against one of her slender wrists.
Forgotten was her fight and anger. She peered up into his maddening gaze.
“You shouldn’t say things you don’t mean, Sakura.” Oozing words, acidic, corrosive. Dissolving her resentment.
Though she attempted to turn her chin away from him hatefully, his hand slid up from her shoulder and his palm cupped her ear, holding her face straight to him.
She didn’t try and fight any harder.
The rain against the window, gusts of wind powering it, drove a hard melody; insanity dripping from the sky to the beat of her heart; hard, fast, cold.
Hard lips crashed upon hers without reason, without mercy, and she didn’t fight it.
Her wrist was free as his fingers slipped away, instead coming to grip at her unclothed hip. Right hand still perched at her ear and jaw.
Words, anger and resentment; reason, all forgotten.
She reached arms up to wrap around his neck, wrist resting against a scorching hot curse mark, fingers tangling in his thick hair.
Growls, groans, drowning out the sound of ire.
